Balancing Act

Life as a balancing act. Right? This Yoga Nag has been doing her best to keep all things going and moving, but it has meant that I am nagging a lot less. There are a wide array of competing demands in my life at the moment. We all need revenue, and for many yoga teachers, an additional source is needed. I have stepped into a super fun job as a skin care consultant for Rodan+Fields. 

I as still practicing my yoga.  I am still teaching, both public classes and private clients. I am still being the Mama in this house. Now, I am also selling awesome skincare products (and my skin feels and looks fabulous!). The result of this pile up, however, is less time to pull out my camera and nag all of you to practice. I am trying to work this back into my routine, I promise.  

And I am here today. Soooooo……

Warrior

Monday morning warrior. Grounding. Serotonin-increasing. Cortisol-lowering. Yes, I will take this start to my week. Thanks for the extra grounding assist, Charlie bear. What about you? What’s your yoga plan?

Shifting Times

So many things happening for me at the moment, lots of moving in many different directions, coupled with a transitional time of year. Nothing bad. I am actually grateful for all of it. But it can be a bit unsettling. Going upside down helps me. And the temporary rug in our Open Room makes it especially lovely.

Other things work too, eg, a good grounding yoga practice, meditation, sweet time with friends and family, attempts at more awareness, trying to be present in each moment, rather than the next one always calling to me…..

Nag-A-Day

Do yoga. Today.
Start with one pose. Build thoughtfully. Breathe deeply. 6-10 full but unforced breaths.
See where it takes you…. Another pose. Or the grocery store.
Both are good. You have done some yoga. Some is better than none.
